But when he heard me say that my printer wasn't performing well anymore, the first thing he said was "Then you need to get a new one." That says an awful lot for a man who usually says "What do you expect me to do?". My husband is not one to be impressed by anything he has no opinion whaysoever. When I did some research on other printers to compare prices, features and usage I found that I really only need to get this one again. I have to purchase another now I printed mine to death. When you are going for a smooth velvety trasition in in color (skylines, gradients and backgrounds)and yet want to have your main subject (cars, people, inanimate objects, etc) popping off the page, you cannot go wrong with this printer. The vibrancy of the colors is just awesome. I do greenscreen, holiday and everyday portrait photgraphy and I have printed out a whole slew of 13 x 19 posters to allow people to really see what the work looks like. Their friends are now calling me t o set up appointments to have their portraits done too. I've gotten quite abit of positive feedback from many people, having done pictures/portraits of family members. My colors are such a joy to me that I print out pics (using a CISS) for absolutely no reason other than toĬompare them to older pictures that I printed from other machines. Mind you, you must profile your printer to get the best results from within these programs. Adobe Lightroom (the BEST!) and Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, FX Home, etc. I do lots of photo editing as well and I print from different programs, i.e. Knowing nothing about printers except the small cheap kind everyone gets when they first go digital, I was fortunate to buy this one when I started doing a bit of photography and figured I wanted my work to "jump" off the page.
